Chole Mjini has grown alongside the village of Chole Island since 1994. Our work extends beyond the lodge, through a set of connected projects that support both community and conservation. 90% of our team are from Chole Island.
We grow together.
Through the Chole Mjini Trust Fund, we have supported education for over 20 years.
From kindergarten to tertiary level, this long-term commitment has helped grow opportunity within the community.
We are proud partners of Ropes of Hope. This work focuses on protecting the reefs that sustain us. It supports coral propagation, research into reef regeneration, and community involvement to raise awareness of the reefs’ importance.
Through our partner lodge, Kitu Kiblu, we provide responsible marine encounters. We run internship programs, for those with an interest in marine conservation looking to gain skills and experience working at sea.
